A small part of my story

Growing up in the sleepy suburbs of St. Louis, MO, Sarah Beth Comfort found her first love in musical theater. She wrote, directed and starred in her own staged adaptations and original work out of her grandparents basement starting at the age of five, always casting herself as the hidden princess, the benevolent fairy, the little orphan with spunk and smile.

Dozens of plays later, starring in everything from Shakespeare to The Sound of Music, Sarah Beth headed out West on a merit scholarship to the University of Southern California. It was there that she began to translate her love of acting in theater into a passion for the storytelling possibilities of film. Three short years (and upwards of ten short films) later, graduating magna cum laude from the top film school in the nation, Sarah Beth left her alma mater with the same focused determination that characterizes her every endeavor, facing the ever-daunting "Industry" with a wry sense of humor and persistent optimism.

In her year since graduation, Sarah Beth has co-created and starred in an award-nominated webseries, as well as executive produced and starred in an independent feature film, currently in post-production. She has worked as an associate producer and editor of online content for GOOD Magazine, STEPT Studios, and Creative Visions Foundation. She has studied acting at Lesly Kahn & Co, Killian's Commercial Workshop and the Upright Citizens Brigade, among others. For the full list of her acting credits, see her Resume.
